The movies taught me how to feel and now real life just doesn't seem to cut it. Does anyone else get this feeling, like it's not real happiness unless you can have a video montage of all of those perfect weeks, like it's not sadness unless you have the soundtrack, it's not romance unless you're kissing in the rain.
Real life isn't like that, but because of all of these media influences, our perceptions of reality are warped. We're losing sense of who we are, replaced by this distortion of who we should be. And it's terrible, a travesty of our generation. I know it is.
But to be honest, I'd still kind of like to kiss in the rain.
