An Introduction For A Hopeless World

I'll give you some facts to start.
Hi, I'm Bea and you're reading This Nefarious Infatuation. I live in Australia, in a tourist town outside of Brisbane. I'm sixteen which is young, but apparently I have old eyes the kind that add years to the clock. I'm socially inept and I systematically drive people from my life, particularly the ones who look like they might actually handle me. The kind that might actually stay.
I'm very sarcastic. If you become a reader, you're going to have to deal.
I'm writing a novel about a girl called Indie Alice Payne and I both love and hate her at the same time. My favourite bands are Death Cab For Cutie, Say Hi To Your Mom, The Red Paintings and The Dresden Dolls. I am determined to make my future work. I'm a nerd and proud. There's an underlying subtext and some problems that you don't need to know. Me in a nutshell, you now know more than most.

When I created this blog, a new blog because I'm starting afresh this summer, when I created it I had so much to say.
Now? I'm just pulling things from the air.

Outside of my room, I can hear the crickets chirping without pause or worry - though perhaps they've fear of the cat...
Year 11 is over, last day of classes, over. The official closing service is held in the next week, however until then, and after the pathetic three hours for which I am required to attend, it is summer and for the next eight weeks, I'm meant to be carefree. To be honest, I'm merely waiting for the new year to fly by and for uni to start, because although I'm starting afresh for summer, I'll be starting new for uni. I'm going to reinvent myself, become anyone I want to be.
At night, I watch the stars from my window, and I wonder if life can be different. I'm not so sure, but I know that if anything changes, it will change then. To be honest I can not wait.
